Two weeks and counting...
The Scotsman newspaper named the Darvel Music Festival as one of the top five "must see" events this year so why not come along?
We have some great concerts including; a (rare) full band performance from Hue and Cry plus exclusive Scottish gigs by the Willy Clay Band, Richmond Fontaine and the Bluetones.
Darvel will stage the final concert of Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain's 20th anniversary tour.
Capercaillie, Hazey Janes, Session A9 and our good friends the Endrick Brothers will be returning to the festival.
Peter Cox of Go West will join the Hamish Stuart Band on stage this year and Guy Barker will accompany the Ian Shaw trio.
We would like to welcome, Crash My Model Car, Roddy Hart, Dean Owens, Redlands Palomino Company, Joe Whyte, Michael Weston King, the Island Tapes, Vivien Scotson, Kieran Docherty, Darkwater, Lights out by Nine, Fortunate Sons, the Earl Brothers, Hunger Mountain Boys, Hedrons, the Headlines, Tony O'Malley, Angus Lyon and Ruaridh Campbell to our "wee" festival.
And not forgetting our excellent Roll 'n' Jam concert featuring some of the best rock and blues musicians from the West of Scotland.
The festival won't return until 2009 at the earliest as Sheila and Neil will be taking a well deserved break after four years of hard graft.
So come along, it might be your last chance to enjoy the "Darvel Experience"!!
Also, please help our funds by buying the new 32 page colour festival programme which is on sale now (see our news section for details) and take advantage of some the great ticket deals we have on offer for certain concerts.
Thanks - Sheila and Neil McKenna
